I felt the same overwhelming feeling of joy I’d had many years ago, when it happened to me. My daughter was going to have a baby. For me, it was my first grandchild.
Late in the evenings, watching her belly grow, I started writing about this tiny spark (little spark is Chispita in Spanish), and this new mystery of love happening inside her. Chispita was ready to start the most exciting of all adventures: life.
The rest is history. Tomás arrived. Two years later, Natalia arrived. The project slept in my computer for years.
Then, suddenly, another spark jumped. My daughter, a Designer, woke Chispita up from a long nap.
I am not sure how she found the time, in her crazy days as a mother of two, full time job, a lovely husband and a home to run, to give life to the story of Chispita.
Chispita was happy, growing healthy, strong, and wise in every page.
Then one day, the dream came true.
Mother and daughter’s most sublime collaboration project was finalized.
Chispita is now ready to meet so many other little sparks of joy, other Chispitas and their parents; those chosen for a sacred mission, the most beautiful one: to love and take care of a new life.
